This website is focused on critical geopolitical perspectives related to the political, those agonistic social relations about how we organize ourselves into polities, as well as the kinds of communities that may be emerging.

I am a political geographer whose work focuses on the Balkans (Southeast Europe), the Middle East, and Eurasia. I teach at Miami University in International Studies, a program that I directed from 2012-2017.
